Still to go

For several years, Utrecht University has been conducting research into sea currents that cause plastic waste to spread in the ocean. In the coming period, the focus of the research will be on the Wadden Sea and the North Sea. Thanks to research, we can predict where and when plastic will wash ashore, so that targeted cleaning actions can prevent it from damaging or washing back into the sea. For the development of this 'plastic predictor', 'drifters' are needed: small, reusable floating buoys with built-in GPS that provide insight into sea currents. Help make the Wadden Sea plastic-free.
