Contribute to rid our oceans of plastic
Annually, eight million tonnes of plastic end up in sea. How can we remove all this garbage? By donating you will contribute to finding a solution for plastic free oceans.
The plastic in the oceans annually contributes to the deaths of 1.5 million seabirds,
fish, whales and sea turtles. These (micro)plastics are also dangerous for our own health. But how do we clean our oceans as efficient as possible? To answer this question, top scientists from Utrecht University need to investigate how plastic moves through our oceans. With that knowledge they can develop a model for cleaning up plastic. It is the goal to use that model in three years to rid the Galapagos Islands of plastics.
