Biodiversity
On the grounds of the Botanical Gardens are 352 containers with 1,000 litres of soil. They are not there for decoration. These containers are part of the BioCliVE research project. The aim? To visualise the interaction between biodiversity and climate change in grasslands. With that knowledge, we are building the ecosystem of the future with which we can cope with the consequences of extreme weather. The project is unique in the world. Care about biodiversity and climate and donate.
Every year, the Utrecht University Fund selects four projects for the Pay it forward campaign. The scholarship programme will return every year, because every year students can use a helping hand.
The other 3 projects are:
- Horse power
- Sexual abuse
- Biodiversity
